January, 2018. Fifty representatives from CPAW communities, research organizations, and Washington D.C. fire leadership came together in January 2018 in Boulder, CO for the third annual Land Use Planning and Wildfire Forum.

Hosted by Headwaters Economics, the Forum facilitates network-building and knowledge-sharing among land use planning and wildfire professionals. It also provides planners and fire personnel with tools and current research they can use to help reduce wildfire risk in their communities. The Forum occurred over two days and included presentations, panel discussions, and interactive exercises.

“I’ve attended two CPAW Forums. Both were the best in my 30-year career in terms of benefit, education, implementation, and partnership-building.”
